Stealth Update v1.0 (new)

I’d like to announce the first official release of the Stealth Update plugin (v1.0) for WordPress.

Adds the ability to update a post without updating the post_modified timestamp for the post.

For more details, instructions, screenshots, and the download link, visit the plugin’s official homepage at :
coffee2code.com/wp-plugins/stealth-update.

This is my 57th plugin release.

Comments welcome on this post for this version of the plugin. Comments will be closed once this release has been superseded by another.

Your comment seems to refer to my “Stealth Publish” plugin, but your comment is on the “Stealth Update” plugin. Which plugin are you referring to? “Stealth Publish” is the older one, and does not provide an input field to make a post stealth publish. As the docs for it indicate, you have to provide a custom field to mark it as a stealth post. However, it is due for an update, which I am in the midst of doing for all my plugins. The update for that plugin will include a checkbox to indicate the post should be stealth published, much as how “Stealth Update” provides a checkbox to indicate a post should be stealth updated.

If you are talking about the “Stealth Update” plugin I just released, then the checkbox should be as seen in one of the two screenshots shown on the plugin’s homepage. It’ll only appear when you are editing an existing post and will not appear when writing a new post.
