Recently I came across a listing of Rails contributors ranked over all time by their number of contributions. Unexpectedly, I’m currently tied for 85th out of 1,376 contributors. The rankings are by no means rigorous, based on props/hat-tips parsed from the commit logs. And as such the consideration is quantity versus quality based. Nonetheless, color me pleasantly surprised. It’s been a few years since I’ve contributed to Rails core, though I’ve been using the framework fairly regularly in the intervening time.
Looking forward to spending even more time with it in the near future. And looking forward to the changes leading up to Rails 3.

Yeah don’t take the rank too seriously, it just is a number and I didn’t put even a label in the column on purpose. I prefer collaboration over competition.
